TODAY

1) Website presentations (WP) (2.5 min each student ) 2 things you like, 2 things to improve
This is ultimitely about helping you shape your own online portfolio (assignment description is below)

2) 3 Asset Planners  1 (one) Asset Planner. Individual review asset planners and start work on revised asset in remaining classtime. (assignment description is below)

3) LinkedIn/Portfolio (LP) Students will also be handing in a text file with a link to their LinkedIn profile and professional portfolio page (artstation or website)

This is worth 10% of your final grade and is presented in class 3.

Website Presentation (WP) 
Working in pairs, students make a 5 minute presentation (2.5 minutes each ) showing a website or online portfolio for an artist that matches the student's own area of specialization of focus. The presentation should highlight aspects of the portfolio that make it worthy of note. Student should also provide 2 suggestions for the website that they think would improve the presentation of the work.

Students should hand in a plain text file at the end of class with hyperlink text to the website. Text file should be named <Lastname>_<Firstname>_WP.txt (eg. Latour_David_WP.txt)

What I'll be grading on this assignment:  

- Has the student selected an appropriate website that matches their own professional intent?
- Does the student speak clearly?
- Does the student use their time (2.5 min) effectively in presenting the website?
- Does the student demostrate two (2) distinct examples of why the website is worthy of note?
- Does the student provide two (2) suggestions that could improve the website/portfolio?

Asset Planners (APThis is worth 10% of your final grade and is due at the end of class 3.

Using the provide template, student fill out a plan for 1 asset that they intend to work on until the midterm. They can be previously existing projects needing refinement or an original work. The criteria for this asset will be:

- The asset should take no more than about 10 hours of work to complete
- The asset should be selected as appropriate for inclusion in the students online portfolio
- Thourough planning should be provided for each step in the asset revision

Refer to the populated template and the description template as a guide when filling out your own asset planner. Any catagory that is not required should be left blank. Be sure to include planning sketches showing the intended revisions clearly as well as images of the initial asset for comparison.
This planning process should take less than 1 hour.

Asset planner should be named: <Lastname>_<Firstname>_<Assetname>.xlsx (eg. Latour_David_RunAnim.xlsx)

What I'll be grading on this assignment:

- Have you provided a clear description of each step to be taken on your revisions?
- Are the fields of the template filled out correctly with the appropriate information?
- Are fields that are not applicable left blank?
- Does the asset planner include images to support description of the intended revisions?
- Is the asset planner named correctly?

- Does your LinkedIn profile have a professional looking picture that accurately represents you?
- Have you created a 'Mission statement' on your LinkedIn profile?
- Is you LinkedIn profile fully filled out with Work and Education history?
- Does your LinkedIn profile use appropriate language and is free from typos, and profanity?
- Do you link your two pages together with LinkedIn connecting to your Artstation and vice versa?
- Does your Artstation page (or website) have some samples of your work?
